Plowman Chamber Music Competition is now a biennial event, to take place on odd number years. The 7th Plowman Competition will be held Spring 2015 in Columbia, Missouri.
In collaboration with Mizzou New Music Initiative (MNMI) at the MU School of Music, 2013 Plowman Competition was also a 5-day Festival, featuring master classes, concerts and lectures by internationally acclaimed guests and musicians, including pianist Frederic Chiu, composers Don Freund and Stefan Freund, horn professor Randy Gardner, The Verdehr Trio (celebrating their 40th this season), cellist Peter Wiley with pianist Anna Polonsky.
